FIBER PROCESSING EQUIPMENT FOR SALE
I have gone back to school for Radiology and will have to be moving to go to school. My loss is your gain! I would prefer to sell all of the equipment together and the price of each piece will be discounted for a buyer who purchases the whole mill.
1) I have a 40" Whiten card that is set up for long staple fibers. It has an automatic feeder. It is run by a variable frequency drive (allows you to run this on 220 single phase and adjust the speed) and a 5 hp motor, I paid $40,000 for
it 4 years ago and it had just been reclothed before she was put into storage. Asking $30,000.

2) Warner-Swazey double head pin-drafter (I only have 1 side set up to run- but have the combs for the second side). It comes with 2 coilers and about 30 can that fit the coilers. This runs from a 2 or 3 HP 3 phase motor and variable frequency drive. New motor and controller. I paid $10,000 for the pin-drafter, coilers and cans. Asking $8,000.

3) Carolina Specialties 8-head spinning/plying frame, new in 2007. This frame is wonderful in all of the adjustments you are able to do for different staple lengths and fibers. Comes with extra belts, travelers, and condensers, oil & misc parts. Runs on 220 single phase. Paid $30,000, asking $25,000

4) 6 position Leesona cone winder. 3 positions working. Runs on single phase 220. $1,500

5) 12 position skein winder & bobbin creel. Unknown maker. Runs on 220 single phase. $2,500

`
We have meticulously maintained all of the equipment and it is in excellent shape- There was extensive rebuilding and restoring before beginning to operate any of this equipment. It is everything you would need for all stages of processing.
I am asking $60,000 for all of this equipment and would look at offers. This price does not include removal or transport. We would, of course, help with the removal and make sure all of it is safely secured on the trailer. The card weighs about 10,000 pounds, the pin-drafter about 2-3,000 pounds and the picker about 500 pounds, the spinning frame about 1500 pounds, the cone winder, about 750 pounds and the skein winder is about 500 pounds. These are just guesstimates, as I haven’t actually picked each piece of equipment up.
