Icelandic Sheep

Brownie's 2005 lambs

Our ewes have such names in their pedigrees as Houdini, Golsa, Pruth, Mori, Mocum, and Blaever, as well as many of the original sheep imported. Schnorre- our Newest Guy, a very hansom Black Mouflon/Spotted Hynkill & Askur Great Grandson. We have some beautiful, very colorful babies from him this year. In addition to our 2006 Schnorre babies, we Aled all of our ewe who were over 2 years old to some of the best sires in Iceland. Please see our Breeding Stock For Sale page for the list & pictures of our sheep available.

To compare the differences in the AI babies to the farm bred lambs: The very first thing I noticed about the AI babies was the tremendous muscling and conformation, even as newborns. As they have grown, I noticed how fast the fleece grew & how super soft it is. Most of the AI lambs, at 3 months old, have 5"+ Staple lengths. I have one more straw of Hylur, so both of his babies are available to other breeders. Their dam singled as a yearling, but has twinned the last 2 years. I very pleased with the offspring from our new ram, Schnorre. He has imparted a wide range of coloring and stout conformation to my herd. These lambs will help improve anyone's herd, I have a wide range of lambs to offer other breeders. Many of Schnorre's babies will be staying in the herd. 3 of the AI rams will be used as herd sires this coming year, so I have decided to offer Schnorre to other breeders. He is available for $500.00.

A 50% deposit will hold your lambs until weaning, in Mid June for the AI lambs and Mid July for the farm bred lambs."
